CONDITION: from the ICMS record "UNIVERSAL. U.S. PATENT DATES OCT 13, 1914, JUNE 15, 1915. CHROME PLATED, VERTICAL FLUTING. BOTTLE AND CAP. NO LINER. CORK INSIDE."
CHIR 1616 is a chrome-plated thermos. This container has vertical fluting on their sides and horizontal ridges around their shoulders. It has a screw-on chrome-plated lid that is dented on one side. The words "LANDERS FRARY & CLARK< UNIVERSAL" are stamped on the base. A loose cork ins in the interior.

TREATMENT PROCEDURE:
1. Dry cleaned dust from the surface with a vacuum and micro-attachment brush.
2. Removed the catalog number with swabs of acetone.
3. Reduced dirt and grime with swabs of acetone.
4. Reduced loose corrosion and accretion with a stiff bristle brush and swabs of acetone.
5. Applied micro-crystalline wax in Naptha solvent to the metal surfaces of each object.
6. Reapplied catalog number by printing on archival paper and adhering it with Rhoplex acrylic adhesive.
