DESCRIPTION: from the ICMS record "OUTER SHELL ONLY, GLASS LINER MISSING. NO CORK OR LID. UNIVERSAL SEE CHIR 1616, BOTTLE AND CHIR 1612, LID"
CHIR 1617 is a chrome-plated thermos. This container has vertical fluting on their sides and horizontal ridges around its shoulders. The words "LANDERS FRARY & CLARK, UNIVERSAL" are stamped on the base.

TREATMENT PROCEDURE:
1. Dry cleaned dust from the surface with a vacuum and micro-attachment brush.
2. Removed the catalog number with swabs of acetone.
3. Reduced dirt and grime with swabs of acetone.
4. Reduced loose corrosion and accretion with a stiff bristle brush and swabs of acetone.
5. Applied micro-crystalline wax in Naptha solvent to the metal surfaces of each object.
6. Reapplied catalog number by printing on archival paper and adhering it with Rhoplex acrylic adhesive.
